Maxillofacial Dentistry & Surgery
Dog and cat mouth diseases care and treatment is extremely important for our pet’s health. The pathologies that affect the gums and teeth are normally associated with a source of infection that can be harmful to our animal and the family that lives with them.
That is why we have a dental service specialising in veterinary dentistry and maxillofacial surgery for the treatment of:
- Periodontal disease: accumulation of tartar and infection in the teeth that leads to gingivitis, gingival recession and the subsequent loss of teeth. We perform tartrectomies (mouth cleanings) with ultrasound and enamel polishing to prevent subsequent tartar build-up.
- Oral cavity neoplasms
- Dental extractions, deciduous tooth permanence
- Maxillary or infraorbital abscesses due to infected tooth roots
- Chronic viral and immune-mediated gingivostomatitis in felines
- Palatal defects.
We have advanced diagnostic imaging tests such as digital intraoral radiography and CT, CAT (computed tomography) that allow us to assess the affected tooth’s integrity.
We can advise you on how to maintain a clean and healthy mouth by means of toothbrushing, toothpastes, dental sticks and mouthwashes.
