The ophthalmology service at Balmesvet veterinary clinic has comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of eye diseases and pathologies.

In order to do this, our specialists in veterinary ophthalmology carry out a complete ophthalmological examination consisting of:

• Tonometry
• Schirmer’s test
• Vital dyes
• Cytology
• Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy.

 

For those patients who may need it, we also have ocular ultrasound and CT (scanner) of the eye socket.

We perform veterinary ophthalmological surgical treatment for eyelid deformities and the treatment of corneal ulcers by means of conjunctival grafts and corneal transplants.
